AFRICAN POWER
— BRIDGING THE GLOBAL AFRICAN DIASPORA FOR A LASTING CHANGE —

African Power Awards

Driving Africa’s Future through Cross-Border Synergy

The manifest

Africa will no longer wait. She will forge her own destiny—not through expectation or aid, but through the brilliance of her own ingenuity. This new era begins now, driven by an unyielding conviction: the African diaspora is not an exile, but a mission. It is a dynamic force, rich in knowledge, resources, and invaluable experience.

We are certain that by uniting the intellect of the diaspora with the talent on the continent, we will build enduring bridges—reconnecting two spheres that have remained apart for far too long.

The African Power Awards is an annual competition dedicated to recognizing and supporting the most impactful entrepreneurial ventures led by the African diaspora.

Why this competition?

Every year, thousands of Africans across the globe develop groundbreaking ideas in sectors as diverse as agriculture, education, energy, culture, and technology. Yet, far too many of these projects struggle to gain traction or the recognition they deserve. This is often due to a lack of structured support, inadequate funding, or insufficient visibility.

The African Power Awards was created to bridge this gap. We serve as a unifying platform, bringing together the African diaspora and the continent’s most creative minds around a shared ambition: turning bold ideas into tangible solutions for Africa’s development.

How it works

1. Call for Projects

The African Power Awards is now accepting applications. We are looking for innovative solutions born from the synergy between the African diaspora and the continent.

Eligibility Criteria:
This call is open to anyone from the African diaspora or residing on the continent. A mandatory requirement is that the project must be led by a duo or involve a structured cross-continental collaboration (one partner from the diaspora and one based on the continent). We seek initiatives that embody this essential connection for Africa’s development.
