African Power is a community initiative that aims to connect, empower, and support the African diaspora in Europe, while building lasting bridges with the African continent. Through our flagship programs—African Power Data Hub, African Power Connect, African Power Awards, and African Power Talks—we are building an ecosystem of opportunities, mentorship, and collective impact..

African Power Data Hub: A platform for census data and insights on the diaspora, designed to identify career, investment, and project opportunities in Africa and Europe.
African Power Connect: A dynamic network of chapters that connects professionals, mentors, entrepreneurs, and project leaders in the diaspora and across Africa.
African Power Awards: An annual competition that recognizes and supports the best entrepreneurial and impact projects led by the African diaspora.
African Power Talks: A series of inspiring conferences, panels, and interviews highlighting the success stories, expertise, and exceptional journeys of the African diaspora.

Volunteer Position | Remote
Role Description: Producer & Content Manager (African Power Talks)
As the Producer & Content Manager for African Power Talks, you will lead the operational production of content derived from our flagship conference and interview series. Your mission is to transform raw "Talks" into multi-format assets (podcasts, short-form videos, articles, and quotes) to maximize their global reach and impact.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Technical Production: Coordinate the technical workflow for the Talks (audio/video recording and editing).
Content Repurposing: Create derived assets for social media (video snippets, pull-quotes, infographics).
Distribution Management: Manage publishing across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and social media channels.
Discovery & SEO: Optimize metadata (tags, descriptions, SEO) to increase content visibility.
Content Library: Maintain an organized and accessible digital archive of all produced content.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with the Communication Team to amplify the reach of each Talk.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on analytics (views, listens, engagement).
Note: This is a volunteer position. It offers a high-impact opportunity to sharpen your multimedia production skills while broadcasting transformative stories to a global audience.
Candidate Profile
Core Competencies:
Audiovisual Production: Proficiency in video and audio editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Audacity, or DaVinci Resolve).
Content Management: Experience organizing and distributing content across multiple digital platforms.
Creativity: Ability to distill long-form content into engaging, "snackable" formats.
Attention to Detail: A commitment to professional quality and brand consistency.
Additional Assets:
Proven experience in podcast production or managing a YouTube channel.
Knowledge of global streaming and distribution platforms.
Skills in motion design or basic animation.
Mastery of Video/Audio SEO best practices.
Personal Qualities:
Strong aesthetic sense and commitment to high-quality output.
Autonomy and the ability to consistently meet production deadlines.
A passion for storytelling and digital media.
A deep commitment to celebrating and promoting African talent.
